her fellow officers to watch her back and while that sometimes was possible in the cells and
prison corridors with the inmates, it was not always possible in the back offices and
casework rooms with her fellow staff. Susan had to learn the hard way to watch her own
back against the unwanted sexual advances of her fellow male — and sometimes female —
staff. Guarded gives an intimate, insider’s view of the hidden world of prison staff, a world
society does not want to think about, a secret world in which mainstream society is not
welcome.

I've been watching a show on Spike TV called JAIL. This is filmed in the first stages of men and women getting arrested and being booked into jail. So when I was looking at the daily hundreds added free [...] books Guarded grabbed my attention. I read the free read and downloaded it. I'm really glad I did because this is an amazing story of a dedicated, intelligent, professional, credible, competent, and couragous women who didn't take sexual harrassment on the chin but fought back. All I can say is this true story is a page turner and like a Perry Mason story but tons better.I'd like to know what the author is doing now and if there will be any other writings.
