I enjoyed the story line and am looking forward to reading the other four books. I ranked it low because I do not like cliffhangers. The story was short enough that books 1 and 2 could have been combined to make a longer story (if book 2 is the same length of roughly 15 chapters). A quick read that was interesting and well written.Mace and Ashley are step siblings who had a falling out at their parents funerals (both his mother and her father died in a plane crash). Mace had a lot of anger towards Ashley's father and was disrespectful in his actions towards him, thus disrespecting Ashley as well. They hadn't spoken often over the intervening years until one night Ashley is stuck in a bad area when her car breaks down. Her phone is dying and she knows she can only make a few calls to get help. She can't get a hold of her friends and ends up calling Mace. He comes to help her and they decide to try working to get back to having a good relationship. Ashley is broke and struggling to pay for college where she is a pre med student. Mace is wealthy after being an MMA fighter and other investments. Now he owns a high end escort service but he doesn't want Ashley to know about it. There is romantic tension between the two but other than a couple of kisses nothing happens.

The story is a four part serial with the first part free and the other three parts for three bucks each. Mace and Alyssa are the H/ h in each part. Bad marketing ploy!!, ! I hate it!!! SQ
The story line somewhat intrigued me. However this book isn't for me. I read it out of morbid curiosity.
It was a very good book. It was one of them you couldn't put down till you finish ed. I can't wait to read book two.
I loved it i couldn't put it down it was very interesting an hot an it has some good OMG moments id love to be able to read the rest of the series ill be following this writer for sure ...
I really enjoyed reading this series. The author Claire Donovan did a good job with series. They both lost their parents in a plane crash. Mace's step sister is to proof to ask him for his help. They have this little thing were they try to get each other to do some thing they normally would not do by calling each other chicken. Not going to say more as it will give it away. I will say it made me cry for a while, but in the end they do get what they both want. Just remember they are not blood related though.
Pimp was a quick read that flowed beautifully. Both current and and backstory. Both, Alyssa and Mace, had plenty of storyline to keep me reading and interested. Claire Donovan is a new author and she knows how to grab your attention and expand on it. Alyssa and Mace have sibling banter that's comfortable and funny. There have been plenty of the taboo step sibling books lately but Claire Donovan puts a refreshing spin on it and puts out a good read that has me waiting in anticipation for the next installment. Good job Claire Donovan.
I have to say its nice seeing a taboo book have a plot. Even if its only the shadowy plot this one has. It at least appears to give a real life scene to it. It is well written by both sides of the coin the young lady and the male of this story. It is only part one of the 4 part but it does lay down a great foundation for the next book.
